You must always pay for: The purchased item, the YokoMarket service fee 300 Yen or US$3 per item, the international shipping fee and your payment method fee. 
At times you will pay for: The shipping fee within Japan, the bank transfer fee within Japan depending on the seller. At times you may pay 8% consumption tax.
You will never pay for: the initial packing and consolidation of your packages, shipping insurance when working with our selected carriers, asking questions or contacting sellers.


How much do you charge for your service?
We charge only 300 Yen or US$3 per item. If you buy 10 identical items, the fee is still 300 Yen. However, if you buy 10 different items, the fee is 300 Yen per each item. 

Do I have to pay for registration at YokoMarket?
No you don't. we don't have any sign-up or membership fees.


What is included in the YokoMarket service fee?
The YokoMarket service fee includes buying items, the initial package consolidation, repacking and shipping insurance depending on the carrier.

I want to buy from different stores. How much do you charge for consolidation of the packages?
Initial consolidation of packages is free of charge.

Are there any payment fees?
The payment fee depends on your payment method. For PayPal, Aredit and debit cards it is 2.9% + 40 Yen. For international bank transfers, we don't charge you anything, but you must pay the transfer fee at your local bank. 

Why do I have to pay PayPal fees?
Sellers very often hide credit card fees in the price of an item and you think that you have not paid a fee. making them higher. YokoMarket works as a buying service and charges only 300 Yen per item. So, we don't hide fees. This is the reason why we charge payment fees.


Is my parcel insured for international shipping? How much is the insurance fee?
We cover all insurance fees for you when sending a package by EMS, AVIA or SAL services. In the event of trouble, the shipping company will compensate you for the price of the item as mentioned in the declaration. For Avia and SAL small packets, the maximum compensation amount is 6000 Yen. For DHL, FedEx and other shipping methods, the optional insurance fee is charged separately.

I want to make my parcel really strong. How much will it cost?
When we consolidate your packages, we take into account how fragile they are. Our packages are normally durable enough for shipment to your address. This is free of charge. However, if you are worried about the security of your items because they are oversized or fragile, we can consolidate using a framework. This costs 1500 Yen per box and your parcel will be strengthened further by using hard pressed carton angles fixed by staples.

Is it possible to repack or re-arrange a package after its creation?
Changing your shipping method is free. But once your items are packed, if you want to change the packaging for any reason, such as adding another item or splitting the package up, you will be charged 1000 Yen.

How long can I store my items at your warehouse without charge? Are there any storage fees?
You can keep your items at our warehouse free of charge for 45 days. After that you will be automatically charged 50 Yen per item per day. In total, including the free period, you can keep your items at our warehouse for 90 days. After that your item will be disposed of without any compensation.

How does YokoMarket insurance work?
The post office insurance covers only the declared value. In case you lower the value in your declaration, you have to pay 2% of the undeclared value as your YokoMarket insurance to get protection for the full amount. If your package is lost or stolen, you should first file a claim to the post office for the declared value. If the post office refunds you the declared value, we will refund you the undeclared part.


How can I receive compensation for damaged goods or for other losses?
If YokoMarket sent you a wrong item or an item was damaged by our staff, we will offer you means of getting compensation for it. If the seller sends incorrect or damaged items, full or partial compensation is made only if the seller agrees to do so. Usually, sellers ask to send the item back and replace it with a new one. In this case, they will only compensate for domestic shipping fees. If you buy used items from Yahoo! Auctions, compensation is not possible in most cases. If your items are lost or damaged during international shipping, compensation is made only if the shipping company agrees to do so.


Do I have to pay a cancellation fee if I cancel my auction bid?
You cannot cancel your bid or the purchased item for any reason. This is a rule of Yahoo! Auctions.

Can I cancel my purchases from online marketplaces before they are shipped to your warehouse? Do I have to pay a cancellation fee?
You can cancel items from online marketplaces before they are shipped to us only if the seller agrees to the cancellation. In this case, cancellation is free.

Can I cancel my items from online shops after they are shipped to your warehouse? Do I have to pay a cancellation fee?
You can cancel purchases from online marketplaces after they are shipped to us only if the seller agrees to the cancellation and you have valid reasons to cancel purchases. In this case, you will have to pay a 1000 Yen per item cancellation fee to YokoMarket for domestic shipping fees to send the item back to the seller. There may be other fees if the seller asks for them. The 300 Yen  YokoMarket commission per canceled item will be returned to your account.

Can I cancel my items from online shops after they arrive at my address?
You can cancel items from online marketplaces after they arrive at your address only if the seller agrees to the cancellation and you have valid reasons to cancel the items. In this case, you will have to pay a 1000 yen per item cancellation fee to YokoMarket and international and domestic shipping fees to send the item back to the seller. There may be other expenses if the seller asks for them. The 300 Yen YokoMarket commission for the canceled item will be returned to your account. A lot of shops accept returns only during a limited period, so return is only possible if your parcel arrives back in Japan during the specified time.


Optional extras:
• We can photograph your item before shipping it internationally. The cost is 500 Yen per item.
• You can store your item in our warehouse for longer than 45 days. It will cost 50 yen per day per item.
• In the event that you want to add an item to an already packed shipment, it will cost 1000 Yen.
• Cancelling a purchase after we receive it at our warehouse will cost 1000 Yen and this is if the seller will accept the return.

Is there free international shipping?
No, there is not. Some items that are sold on Rakuten and Amazon are shipped free within Japan. When this happens, we do not charge clients for shipping within Japan. You will always pay for International shipping.
